For example, the emotional wellbeing on the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro measures my emotions and stress levels automatically and notifies me periodically about my emotional state.

With this feature, you’d get recommendations to help manage negative emotions, including guided breathing exercises and meditation, available directly on the watch.
On the Apple Watch, there’s a "Mindfulness" app where I need to manually log their current state of mind, which can be more of a hassle and counter-intuitive in my opinion.

Both watches offer sleep tracking, but I appreciate the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro’s approach more in this regard. In addition to tracking my sleep cycles, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro also monitors my respiratory rate or breathing. Essentially, it includes sleep apnea detection, requiring just one night to record and analyze your breathing conditions while you sleep.

The HUAWEI WATCH even provides a sleep score and offers recommendations for improving your sleep quality.
In contrast, the Apple Watch takes up to 10 days to detect abnormalities in my breathing while sleeping. In fact, as of writing the script for this video, the Apple Watch still needs four more nights to assess my overnight vitals.

On top of all these health metrics, both watches also track daily activities such as how many steps I’ve taken for the day, how often I stood up, and they even give a regular reminder to stand if I’ve been sitting for too long.
Of course, these watches can also track exercises, which we’ll talk about next.
Fitness Tracking
As expected, both the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro and the Apple Watch Series 10 come with exercise tracking from outdoor walk, run, and cycling to all kinds of sports and activities you could think of.

The HUAWEI WATCH itself contains over a hundred sports modes such as Golf mode which is exclusively available on this watch. It supports over 15,000 golf courses globally, with 111 of these courses located within the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch offers over 80 workout modes which is still decent.

One notable addition to the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro is its enhanced water sport tracking. It’s the first-ever model to get this feature which is made possible by a new depth sensor that measures elevation, and dual-band GPS for more accurate location tracking.
And thanks to Huawei’s so-called Sunflower System, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro offers better trajectory, distance, and pace tracking compared to the Apple Watch Series 10, which outperforms single-band GPS in terms of precision and reliability.
The watch also provides route tracking for outdoor runs or walks, which I was able to turn into a dynamic video for easy sharing to social media. There are also preset routes available in certain areas of Manila, Cebu, and Davao.

These features are similar to Strava which has been gaining a lot of traction lately. But the best is you don’t need a paid subscription to do so, as it’s available within the HUAWEI Health app itself. Neat!
But if you’ve been a Strava user, I’m glad to report that the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro is also compatible with it and can sync your watch data over to Strava. So, there’s no need to build your fitness data all over again.
Compatibility and User Experience
Compatibility
Speaking of compatibility, as you would’ve already guessed, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro is compatible with every smartphone out there, Android or iOS alike, offering wider compatibility.

All I needed to do was to install the HUAWEI Health app, and it worked like a charm on my non-Huawei device. This gives it a clear advantage, especially considering the Apple Watch Series 10 is limited to iPhone users only.

Watch and app usage
My experience was solid for both watches. Yeah, I’d give the smooth animations and sleek visuals to the Apple Watch, but I dig the more comprehensive and helpful health insights from the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro.

Case in point, the HUAWEI WATCH can provide a daily summary of my health metrics with brief descriptions that are easier to understand.
As for the Apple Watch, it does have a dedicated Summary page, but it looks like it’s giving me an information overload as I scroll through my health metrics. Thankfully, you can pin your most important health metrics to the top of the page, but that’s about it.

Notably, there’s this HUAWEI Health+ that goes beyond just health and fitness tracking. As the name implies, it’s a paid subscription containing premium content such as VIP video courses for staying fit and healthy.
If you want to improve your core, there are lots of exercises to see here such as Standing and Lying Flat Stomach, both of which can be done in under 10 minutes, without the need of any equipment.
HUAWEI Health also introduces Health Community where users can pay more attention to their loved ones by being able to cross share health data.
This lets the user receive important health reminders for their friends and family who are members of the Health community. Notably, the Apple Watch also has a similar Health Sharing feature.
Other nifty features
Now, let’s talk about other convenient features that both watches have.
Both give easy control for media players and Spotify with no third-party apps needed. Both also have the ability to do smart and customized replies for message notifications, and both with virtual keyboard and voice-to-text functionality for convenience.
However, such voice-to-text feature for the HUAWEI WATCH is limited to EMUI devices only. The watch has its own microphone, so I can't quite see the reason why Huawei would limit this feature to their own smartphones. It kind of defeats the purpose of being "compatible" to all devices methinks.

On the software side though, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro has more features up its sleeve. You can save access cards to open NFC-enabled doors via HUAWEI Wallet which is found inside the HUAWEI Health app.
A really nifty feature is the ability to do a cashless payment via QR code thanks to the new GCash Tap to Pay feature. Simply link you GCash account and the watch generates unique QR codes regularly.

For more personalization, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro also offers a large catalog of watch faces, unlike the Apple Watch here that has limited options, and not to mention, the HUAWEI Health app even has a watch faces store (albeit the really good watch faces come with a small price).
I do like the more fluid and dynamic watch faces on the Apple Watch, perhaps making the device look more alive than Huawei's.

Lastly, you can send over screenshots directly from the HUAWEI WATCH through your phone by just pressing both the digital crown and the side button.
Battery Life
Now, one of the most important aspects in this comparison is the battery life, and to my surprise, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro significantly lasted longer in my experience.
During my use, the HUAWEI WATCH is still going after five days on a single charge, from 100% to 38%. That usage included doing outdoor walks with the GPS tracking enabled and daily activities, health monitoring, and sleep tracking all turned on.

As advertised, it could even go up to 10 days of runtime at minimal usage.
On the other hand, the Apple Watch Series 10 lasted me for less than 24 hours. It could go on for longer on low power mode, but I’d rather get all the health and fitness tracking features up and running throughout my use. So, that’s a bit of a bummer.
Charging it won’t take long though as it can reach 80% of battery in under 30 minutes via a magnetic wireless charging and fully charge by 60 minutes.
The same goes for the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro, and mind you, this is the first HUAWEI WATCH FIT Series model to get magnetic wireless charging. And it only took less than an hour to fully charge the smart watch.
Verdict
After comparing the two, it’s clear that the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro stands strong against the Apple Watch Series 10. It offers all the essential health and fitness tracking features you’d expect, along with the convenience and versatility of a modern smartwatch.
Packed with everything you need at a fraction of the cost, this watch is truly THE smarter choice.

Indeed, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro is the thinnest, lightest, all-around smartwatch with Pro-level sports and health tracking. And with its unbeatable price-to-performance ratio, you're getting far more value for your money compared to the competition.

Wrapping this up, let’s answer the question, who is the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro for? Well, it’s in the name, HUAWEI WATCH FIT for (4) Pros! Athletes can definitely make use of this watch for their intensive training as it offers comprehensive and accurate health data.
But it’s not just for athletes, university students, those into fashion, and fitness enthusiasts alike will appreciate the style and functionality the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro brings to the table.

Whether you're into sports or just need a smartwatch for everyday use, this one delivers for all types of users.
As of writing, there’s no official price yet for the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro, but the brand does promise a more competitive pricing. Stay tuned for official news about its availability and pricing info.
