I’ve been using the HUAWEI Watch Fit 5 Pro for almost two weeks now, and the biggest thing that stood out to me is its battery life. It’s the kind of smartwatch you don’t have to constantly think about charging.
Setting up the device is simple. I connected it to the HUAWEI Health app on my iPhone, and everything worked right away. All the features are available regardless of the operating system, as long as you grant the necessary permissions.

Design and Build Quality
As mentioned in my hands-on, the HUAWEI Watch Fit 5 Pro uses a 7-series aviation-grade aluminum body, paired with 2.5D sapphire glass and a titanium alloy bezel. During my testing, the display held up really well. It didn’t pick up any scratches even though I wasn’t particularly careful while wearing it. The sapphire glass does a great job resisting scratches, and the titanium bezel should help protect the edges during outdoor use, although I didn’t get to test that extensively.

For the past two weeks, I’ve worn the watch around 90 percent of the time. It’s lightweight, and there are moments I forget I even have it on.
Display

The Watch Fit 5 Pro features a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED display with slimmer bezels and a more modern look compared to the previous generation. HUAWEI claims an 83 percent screen-to-body ratio, up from 79 percent on the Fit 4 Pro. In real-world use, the display performs well even under direct sunlight, which is important especially during outdoor use this summer. I had no issues navigating the UI or checking notifications in different lighting conditions. Compared to the Fit 3, the thinner bezels make it look more premium.
Fitness Features
For fitness features, the Watch Fit 5 Pro carries over HUAWEI’s usual wide range of workout modes, with additional tools for activities like trail running, cycling, golf, and freediving. Personally, I’m not a very active user, so I mostly relied on basic tracking like steps and occasional movement. The advanced features are there, but users who are more into fitness will be able to maximize them better.
Health Tracking

On the health side, the watch supports heart rate monitoring, ECG, sleep tracking, stress tracking, skin temperature, and more under HUAWEI’s TruSense system. One notable feature is obstructive sleep apnea monitoring, which tracks your breathing during sleep.
There’s also a new blood glucose risk assessment feature exclusive to the Pro model. It’s important to note that this does not measure blood glucose directly. Instead, it collects physiological data over 3 to 14 days and estimates your risk of hyperglycemia. In my case, the result showed low risk, which aligns with my lifestyle. Still, this should be treated as a guide rather than a medical tool.
Over time, wearing the watch made me more aware of my daily activity, from step count to sleep score. It almost feels like a mini game that encourages you to stay active. It reminds you to move when you’ve been idle and gives feedback when you’re doing well, which is one of the practical benefits of using a smartwatch.
Battery Life and Connectivity
Battery life is easily one of the strongest features of this device. With my usage, always-on display off, notifications on, and regularly checking health metrics like steps, stress, and skin temperature, I only needed to charge it twice in two weeks, and even then it wasn’t fully drained. This makes it very convenient, especially when traveling, since you don’t have to worry about bringing a charger all the time. HUAWEI claims up to 10 days of battery life, and based on my experience, that’s achievable depending on usage.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0, Sunflower dual-band (L1+L5) GPS antenna for improved accuracy, and NFC support. One practical feature is QR payments via GCash, which worked smoothly in my experience. I was able to use it in convenience stores without any issues.
Call quality on the watch is also good. I was able to take calls directly from the watch when my phone was in my bag, and there were no complaints from the other end in terms of microphone quality.
Compatibility with iOS is solid. The HUAWEI Health app worked without issues during my testing, and most features are accessible as long as you enable the required permissions.
Conclusion
The HUAWEI Watch Fit 5 Pro is a good option for users who want a lightweight smartwatch with long battery life, premium materials, and a wide range of health and fitness features. The added blood glucose risk assessment can also serve as a helpful guide for users who want to keep track of their health, although it should not replace professional medical advice.

If you don’t need the extra features of the Pro version, the standard HUAWEI Watch Fit 5 is a more practical choice. It still offers most of the core smartwatch and fitness features, but at a lower price point, with differences mainly in materials and select health features.
