CES 2025: ASUS ROG Unveild 2025 ROG Strix Gaming Laptop Lineup

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has also unveiled its 2025 ROG Strix gaming laptop lineup at CES 2025 showfloor, which includes the SCAR 16, SCAR 18, G16, and G18 models.

The 2025 ROG Strix laptops are powered by the latest silicon from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA.

They boast NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 3 and Frame Generation technology for seamless ray tracing and high-performance gaming.

While Intel-based models, including the SCAR 16, SCAR 18, G16, and G18, feature up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, while AMD variants of the G16 and G18 pack the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D or Ryzen 9 9955HX processors.

Both configurations support up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and 4TB PCIe Gen 4 storage for multitasking and content creation.

On the other note the Strix lineup introduces advanced cooling solutions.

Intel-based models feature a sandwiched heatsink design with an end-to-end vapor chamber and a rear exhaust vent, keeping the system cool even under a 240W load.

Meanwhile, AMD-based models use a seven-pipe system with tri-fan cooling and full-width heatsinks for optimal thermal performance.

The SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 are equipped with ROG Nebula HDR Displays featuring Mini LED technology and up to 1200 nits peak brightness.

All models sport 2.5K resolution displays, a 240Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage.

With ACR (Ambient Contrast Ratio) technology, reflections are reduced by 55%, improving contrast and enhancing visibility in all lighting conditions.

Intel-based Strix laptops feature a refreshed chassis with full-surround RGB lighting and AniMe Vision panels on the SCAR models.

The lightbar design evokes the curves of a racetrack, while the AniMe Vision panels include 810 LEDs for customizable effects.

Ports are strategically placed on the sides for better access, with dual Thunderbolt 5, HDMI 2.1, and 2.5G Ethernet connectivity.

Tool-less Upgradeability

For the first time, ROG introduces completely tool-less access to RAM and SSD slots in its Intel-based models.

A lever mechanism allows users to easily remove the bottom panel for upgrades. This innovation makes these laptops more accessible, bridging the gap between gaming laptops and desktops.

Availability

The 2025 ROG Strix lineup will soon be available globally, including in the Philippines. Pricing details and exact launch dates are yet to be announced.
