Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ Review

Infinix is ready to launch its latest smartphone lineup, the Infinix HOT 60 series. So far, this includes the Infinix HOT 60 Pro and the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+. If you clicked on this article, you probably already know which one we’re focusing on. Just to be clear, this full review is all about the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+.

Last year, its predecessor, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+, launched with its slim build, decent cameras, and smooth curved display. So how does the latest version hold up? What has changed? We’re here to break it all down in this full review.

Design and Construction

Right off the bat, I have to say that Infinix has gone the extra mile with the HOT 60 Pro+. It’s a notably thin smartphone, measuring just 5.95mm. That’s almost a millimeter slimmer than the HOT 50 Pro+, which comes in at 6.8mm.

What’s impressive is how much this device can handle despite being so slim and light. It only weighs around 155 grams, making it easy to carry and hold. On top of that, it comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability.

The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ looks a lot like its predecessor. In fact, at first glance, I thought they were exactly the same. The key difference lies in the design of the camera island. Last year’s version had subtle ridges around it, while this one has a smaller, smoother module. The power button now stands out a bit more, finished in green.

As for the button and port layout, you’ll find the volume rocker and power button on the right side. The bottom houses one of the two speakers, the SIM card tray, and the USB Type-C port. Up top, there’s the microphone along with the second speaker. You’ll also notice a reminder that the sound system is tuned by JBL, which we’ll get into later.

All in all, I’m genuinely surprised at how slim and lightweight this phone is. It’s actually pretty cool to hold a device this sleek that still feels solid and capable.

Display, Multimedia, and Biometrics

Flipping over to the front, you’re greeted by a 6.78-inch 3D-curved LTPS AMOLED panel. As mentioned earlier, it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i while supporting a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. For an entry-level smartphone, having a high refresh rate like this is a pleasant surprise.

The screen also reaches a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, which should be more than enough for comfortable use under bright sunlight. Thanks to its AMOLED technology, the display delivers true blacks and vibrant colors across different types of media. In my case, I used the HOT 60 Pro+ to catch up on shows and scroll through YouTube, and the viewing experience was genuinely enjoyable.

That said, the curved display combined with the phone’s slim profile comes with a minor trade-off. Depending on how you hold the device, especially in landscape orientation, you might encounter accidental touches every now and then.

I’ve personally experienced instances where I unintentionally minimized a video from full screen. There was a bit of an adjustment period, but those accidents became less frequent over time. It might just be a small issue, but still worth mentioning.

As for audio, the HOT 60 Pro+ performs quite well. The speakers are loud enough to fill a room and offer good clarity with solid mids. While the bass isn’t particularly punchy, the sound quality is still good enough to stay immersed whether you’re watching content or playing games.

In terms of biometrics, the phone features both an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Both methods are quick and responsive, unlocking the device the moment you tap the screen or glance at the front camera, which leads us into the next part of this review.

Cameras

Surprisingly, even though the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ appears to have a triple rear camera setup, it actually only features a single 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor. This is a slight step down from the HOT 50 Pro+, which also included a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, you still get a 13MP selfie camera. For video recording, both the front and rear cameras support up to 2K resolution at 30 frames per second.

That said, don’t let the single lens setup lower your expectations. Despite having just one rear sensor, the camera still manages to deliver solid results. The sensor puts in good work, producing images that are surprisingly clear and accurate. Colors are well represented, especially in well-lit environments, and there’s a decent amount of detail in each shot.

Infinix also includes its own AI Studio tools, which let you sharpen images, erase unwanted elements, and even extend the background to fit your frame better.

There is a downside, though. Low-light performance isn’t its strong suit. In darker conditions, photos tend to lose sharpness and can appear blurry. Since there’s no optical image stabilization, having shaky hands could also affect the results.

Still, the best way to judge the camera is to see the results for yourself. We’ve included our sample shots and videos below so you can take a look.

Performance and Benchmarks

The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 processor, which runs at up to 2.2GHz and is paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Our review unit comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. You also have the option to extend the RAM virtually up to another 8GB, bringing the total to 16GB.

In everyday use, the phone handles casual games like Pokémon Unite, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Umamusume with ease, even on their highest graphics settings. There were some minor stutters at the beginning, but things quickly stabilized, especially when Infinix’s XArena was activated. XArena is the company’s built-in game booster that optimizes performance and enhances the overall gaming experience.

This feature becomes especially useful when running more graphically demanding titles such as Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering Waves, and the recently released Persona5: The Phantom X. For context, I played these games on their lowest settings on this device.

Without XArena enabled, I noticed frequent lag, particularly with Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero. There was noticeable stuttering whenever my character used skill or ultimate moves. Meanwhile, in Honkai and Persona5, navigating through the city areas caused the game to freeze or hang momentarily, which impacted the flow of gameplay.

With XArena turned on, most of those issues were reduced significantly. While I still had to keep the settings on low, the overall experience became smoother. Combat in Wuthering and Zenless still had occasional frame drops, but the games were far more playable. Honkai and Persona5 also benefited from the performance boost. I was even able to increase the model detail settings without running into major problems.

That said, if you’re hoping to play heavy, graphics-intensive games at maximum quality, this device might not deliver the performance you’re looking for.

Now, take a look at the benchmark results we gathered from the phone:

OS, Apps, and UI

The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ runs on XOS 15.1 based on Android 15 straight out of the box. Unfortunately, the software comes with quite a bit of bloatware, most of which are placed into their own folders. While you can remove them, it might still be an inconvenience for users who prefer a cleaner setup.

Thanks to the device’s 144Hz refresh rate, the overall user interface feels smooth and responsive. Animations are quick, and you’ll even notice subtle visual notes like blur effects on the notification shade and control panels, which is something you don’t usually see in this price range.

In terms of features, the HOT 60 Pro+ is packed with a variety of AI tools. These include AI Studio, AI Image Extender, AI Eraser, and AI Sharpness Plus. One standout feature is AI Vogue Portraits, which allows you to take a subject from a photo in your gallery, crop it cleanly, and turn it into a custom wallpaper.

You also get Circle to Search, the XArena gaming hub, and the Dynamic Bar. The Dynamic Bar displays contextual information like screen recording status, face unlock prompts, calls, and more which is something that existing Infinix users will already be familiar with.

However, one thing that remains unclear is how long Infinix plans to support the HOT 60 Pro+ in terms of software updates and security patches. There’s been no official word yet, which may be a concern for those looking for longer-term software reliability.

Another detail worth pointing out is a bit odd for me. JM, the reviewer of the standard Infinix HOT 60 Pro over here at YugaTech, mentioned that his unit includes a One-Tap AI button located just below the power button. Strangely, this button is not present on the Pro+ variant, which feels like a curious exclusion given the model’s higher tier.

Connectivity and Battery Life

The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ includes all the essential connectivity features. You get WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS. It even comes with an IR blaster, which is a nice bonus. Interestingly, it’s placed just below the main rear camera sensor, a location that’s not typically used for this feature.

In terms of mobile connectivity, the device supports 4G LTE but does not include 5G. This might be a drawback for users who are looking for future-proof network support. However, considering the price and the fact that last year’s HOT 50 Pro+ also lacked 5G, this is accurate with what we expected from the series.

Battery performance is another area where the HOT 60 Pro+ holds up well. It is equipped with a 5,160mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging along with a bypass charging feature. It’s impressive to see such a large battery packed into a phone that remains this thin and light.

In our PCMark battery benchmark, the phone delivered a result of 15 hours and 9 minutes. This translates well to actual use. During my testing, I used the phone for daily tasks such as browsing, taking photos, watching videos, and doing my dailies in games, and it managed to last comfortably throughout the day.

As always, real-world battery life will vary depending on how you use the phone. Light users may get more out of a single charge, while heavier tasks like gaming or mobile data streaming will consume more power.

Price and Final Thoughts

As of writing this article, the official price of the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ has yet to be announced. We’ll be updating this section as soon as more information becomes available.

That said, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ is shaping up to be a strong contender for anyone looking for an affordable daily driver. It brings a lot to the table. You’re getting a slim and lightweight design, a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, solid battery life, and the ability to shoot 2K video.

If it ends up being priced similarly to the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+, which launched at PHP 8,499, then it could offer great value for its features.

However, if you’re looking for a device that can handle heavy gaming at maximum graphics settings or consistently deliver great low-light photos, this might not be the ideal choice for you.
