OPPO A5, OPPO A5 5G, OPPO A5x now official

The OPPO A5, OPPO A5 5G, and OPPO A5x are now official and can be found on the company’s international website. For reference, this iteration of the A5 is different from the Chinese model launched earlier in March.

The OPPO A5 has a 6.67-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Powering it is a Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 4G chipset and a 6,000mAh battery. This comes with support for 45W of fast charging.

For cameras, it has a 50-megapixel main and 2-megapixel monochrome sensor at the rear. It also comes equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.

The base model will ship with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. It’s available with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage in Green, Purple, and White color options.

Meanwhile, the OPPO A5 5G sports a near-identical display but with 120Hz refresh rate instead. In addition, it has a different chipset sporting a Dimensity 6300 and an 8-megapixel front camera instead.

Lastly, we have the OPPO A5x. The specs for this device and the base OPPO A5 are almost the same. However, it has a single 32-megapixel rear camera. The only other differences are its storage configurations and colorway availability in either Blue and White.

While the devices have been unveiled, details on their availability have yet to be addressed by OPPO. We’ll update readers should we get further details on this developing story and the line’s possible arrival in the Philippines.
