Along with the OPPO Find X9 Series, the global launch of ColorOS 16 is coming soon. The upcoming line is powered by this operating system and OPPO has provided those in anticipation with a closer look.

The software is built on Android 16 and brings improvements in connectivity, fluidity, and intelligence. One of its newest features include Seamless Animation, which builds on ColorOS 15’s Parallel Animation.
OPPO says this makes for seamless interactions across the interface. Further, the enhanced responsiveness is powered by the Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine.
This iteration of ColorOS also introduces Project Breeze, an optimization system that maintains performance even on lower-end devices. There’s also new personalization features along with being able to set Motion photos or videos as wallpapers.

This comes with different fonts, with AI able to suggest matching text styles to fit the wallpaper. In addition, the software now also features full-screen Always On Display (AOD).
For imaging, the software features AI Portrait Glow, which enhances lighting in portrait shots. There’s also a built-in video editor called Master Cut with features like trimming, speed control, cropping, text, and music tools.
ColorOS 16 will still support Touch to Share for OPPO and iOS-powered devices. That said, O+ Connect will remain for advanced Mac and Windows integration.
The global launch of ColorOS 16 is expected during the Find X9 Series launch or some time after. We’ll keep readers updated should we get wind of further information.
