Writely: Google’s answer to MS Office?

By now, most of you may have already read the news about the recent Google acquisition that is Writely.

Writely is a web word processor, much like MS Word but the best part of it is that it runs online so you need not install any application. That means you can edit your documents from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection, store it safely and securely, as well as share documents instantly & collaborate real-time.

Google Writely

With Google moving in and buying Writely along with its plans to provide online storage, we can now see a bigger picture that Google is preparing itself go bite a piece into the office productivity tools. The catch here is that everything will be available online, and hopefully for free.

And Scoble says Writely runs on Microsoft .Net Framework. :D
