Globe’s GPlans: What you need to know

Globe has recently added the all-new GPlans powered by GCash to its GPlan offers. Dubbed as Globe’s most flexible subscription plans yet, GPlans are packed with various essentials such as data, free GoWiFi access, unlimited all-net calls and texts, free KonsultaMD subscription for health essentials as well as GCash credits. GPlans

Globe’s GPlans are the telco’s latest postpaid plan offerings. GPlans are available to customers who want to apply for postpaid subscriptions as well as existing postpaid customers who are up for plan renewal.

The telco revealed that the old plans, including ThePLAN, ThePLAN PLUS, and TheBASIC PLAN 499, are no longer available. However, the new GPlan is available for as low as PHP 599 up to PHP 7,999 per month. GPlan now offers the following variants:

• GPlan with Device – for those who want to choose from a range of mobile phones, tablets, and wearables. They either come for free or with a one-time cash-out or charged to their monthly bill.

• GPlan with GCash – a limited-time promo offer that allows users to choose from various offers such as premium content subscriptions, vouchers from Globe’s partners, or product boosters. GPlan with GCash is available from March 26 to June 30, 2021, only.

Meanwhile, GPlans are also available as Platinum GPlans 3799, 4999, and 7999 for Platinum customers.

GCash credits

As per Globe, the GCash credits that come with GPlan (with GCash) can be spent through the following:

• Avail of premium subscriptions in HBOGo, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, Discovery+, NBA, and more.
• Buy gaming consoles from Globe’s partners or subscribe to gaming promo offers.
• Get add-ons to boost mobile data (GoBOOST, GoSURF, SURF4ALL), pay for Globe At Home bill, avail of WiFi Mesh, etc.
• Buy essentials and leisure items in Lazada, Shopee, Grab, Metromart, FoodPanda, and more.
• Avail of GInsure for COVID-19 and dengue medical coverage.
• Purchase a new gadget such as iPad 8th Gen, Mi Notebook, or Huawei Matebook.
• Payment for rides via Grab, Lalamove, etc.

The GCash credit will be sent in 24-48 hours upon plan activation or effectivity of the new contract in case of plan renewal. GPlan subscribers will receive a text from GCash notifying the GCash credit received from the new postpaid plan.

However, in case subscribers failed to receive the GCash credit that comes with the postpaid plan, they may file a concern in GlobeOne Help & Support, and a GCash representative will address the issue within 3-5 business days.

Inclusions and contract period

All GPlans come with a free 3GB of GoWiFi, a free subscription to KonsultaMD, and a limited-time free 3-month GInsure. The free three months of GInsure offers PHP 140,500 worth of insurance coverage against COVID-19, dengue, made possible through GCash and Singlife Philippines.

Do note that the unlimited calls to all networks under GPlan 599 is part of GPlan’s introductory promo, valid only until June 30, 2021.

GPlan with Device has 12, 24, and 36-month contracts, depending on the device customers choose. On the other hand, GPlan with GCash has a contract of 24 months, whereas GPlan SIM-Only and SIM-Only All Data both have a contract of 6 months.

GPlan application

Interested customers may avail of GPlan through the following channels nationwide:

• Globe Online Shop 20
• Plan renewal via Globe Stores, Globe Online Shop, GlobeOne app

To apply through the Globe Online Shop, follow the steps below.

1. Select Postpaid Plan (GPlan with Device, GPlan with Device, GPlan SIM-Only, or GPlan SIM-Only All-Data)
2. Prepare application documents: Proof of identification, proof of billing address, and proof of financial capacity
3. Fill out the online application form, and attach all the requirements for faster approval.
4. Wait for updates on the application via text or email within seven business days. Those who didn’t receive updates may email at [email protected].

GPlan’s Data Rollover

With GPlans, the subscribers’ unused data allowance for the current billing month can be extended to the next billing month. Do note that the validity of data rollover is only within the following month. If the data remains unused in the third month, the rolled-over data gets forfeited.

Moreover, data rollover applies only to the plan’s main data allowance. This means that unused data coming from data add-ons do not support the rollover feature.

Subscribers may check their data allowance via the GlobeOne app dashboard or through SMS by sending DATA BAL to 8080.

GPlan Add-Ons

As per Globe, GPlans subscribers can also get an add-on at any time. Add-ons will be automatically charged in addition to the subscribers’ monthly plan for the current bill period. Check out the table below.

Convert data to Rewards points

GPlan subscribers may also maximize their unusual and active (unexpired) data by converting them to points. 1GB of data is equivalent to 10 Globe Rewards points. This applies to the remaining balance from their main data allowance, data rollover, and active data add-ons.

Besides, the validity of converted Globe Rewards points can be checked through the GlobeOne app upon conversion.
