If you use GCash regularly, then you might be interested in getting verified. Not only do you get more features, benefits, and transaction bigger limits, but the process is also easy and hassle-free.
Benefits & Transaction Limits
You can do a lot even with just a basic account; however, getting verified grants you access to even more features. Basic accounts have access to Offline Cash-ins, Bills Payment, Load Purchases, AMEX Virtual Pay, and Pay QR. Moving onto semi-verified status grants users access to the GCash Mastercard, Sending Money, Cash Out, and Requesting Money. Upgrading to a fully verified account, on the other hand, grants users access to all of GCash’s features, including Card Transactions, Investments, GCredit, Online Cash-in, and International Remittances.
The transaction limit also increases with better verification. You get a bigger wallet size from PHP 50k to PHP 100k when moving from the basic level to a fully verified account. The incoming limit is also increased from PHP 50k monthly to PHP 100k. Your outgoing limit also increases from PHP 40k to PHP 100k per day.
Getting Verified
Getting verified is easy and can be done in the comfort of your home. There are only three simple steps to follow, and the only requirement is for you to have an ID that’s included in this list:

- Voter’s ID

After selecting an ID available to you, you’ll need to take a clear photo of the ID with little to no blurriness and glare.
The next step is to take a selfie. If you’re using an older phone or a phone with a less than decent front camera, we suggest finding good lighting to help eliminate the noise. Once the camera detects your face, you’ll need to blink, and the app will take a photo automatically.
Lastly, you’re going to need to fill out your information sheet. After filling out the appropriate information, you will then need to choose the source of your funds (you may check all boxes that apply).
Once you’ve completed the application process, you’ll be receiving two texts: the first will confirm your request to get verified, once your verification has is complete, you will receive a second congratulatory text.
