Google has reportedly offered LG Display at least 1 trillion won (around $880.29M) to boost the production of organic light-emitting diode screens for smartphones.

The report comes from Electronic Times who mentioned that the said investments of flexible OLED screens will be used for future Pixel smartphones. Samsung is already using this technology on their flagship Galaxy handsets while Apple is on its way to jump on the bandwagon soon.
We also see these OLED screen on TVs that produce detailed images and lively colors in addition to being more flexible.
As of now, the Pixel and Pixel XL both carry AMOLED displays.
LG Display has been reported to neither confirm nor deny this news and Google could not be reached for comments.
