Star Telecom Alliance Resources, Inc. (STAR Inc.), the company behind the local smartphone brand, Starmobile, announced that it is going to expand its retail distribution to Sari-sari stores as well as loading stations.
The said expansion will begin on the second half of October this year and customers will be able to buy Starmobile feature phones in over 20 sari-sari stores and loading stations in Metro Manila, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga. This move from Starmobile will allow the company to reach underserved markets, especially in the provinces. Apart from that, Starmobile also announced that it will be releasing a new phone at the end of the year but didn’t reveal any further details.
Starmobile also has an ongoing STAR-Tagal promo until December 31, 2017. Customers who buy any Starmobile product can get a chance to win over Php4 million worth of prizes tax-free. Prizes include hundreds of new Starmobile devices, home appliances, 8 Honda motorcycles, 2 brand-new Toyota cars, or Php1,000,000 in cash.
