Netflix has launched a new app called Netflix Playground, a kid-friendly gaming app for children 8 years old and below. The app lets kids play games with popular characters like Peppa Pig, Sesame Street, and StoryBots.

The app exists as a free service for Netflix users who can access it without facing advertisements, purchasing options, or concealed charges. The system provides offline functionality, which enables users to access its features when they travel and encounter internet outages.

Kids can download the app on phones and tablets, then sign in using a Netflix account. Users can start playing games immediately because they require no special setup.

Netflix also announced new and returning kids’ shows, including Young MacDonald, Trash Truck Season 3, and more Sesame Street content.

The app enables children to learn through exploration while having fun, according to Netflix, which provides parents with tools to control their children’s viewing and gaming activities.

The Netflix Playground app is available in selected regions, but for global availability, it’ll be launched on April 28.
