UGreen teams up with ATL for better, safer power banks

Listen to article

UGreen has announced a strategic partnership with Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) and confirmed its participation in drafting China’s new GB 47372-2026 technical specification for power bank safety.

The ATL tie-up integrates high-grade lithium-ion cells into UGreen’s portable power lineup, pairing ATL’s cell-level engineering with UGREEN’s system-level design to improve consistency and reliability across production runs.

On the manufacturing side, UGreen has implemented a five-layer quality and safety framework:

MES-based traceability — end-to-end digital tracking with parameter monitoring, process validation, and yield management

Full process automation — cell matching, welding, dispensing, and testing are fully automated to eliminate variability

Per-unit serial identification — each unit is tagged with production date, facility, and cell data for full traceability

GB 47372-2026-compliant cell testing — includes nail penetration, lithium plating, and compression stress tests

Real-time anomaly monitoring — continuous performance logging with lifecycle traceability and post-event analysis support

The standard and supply chain improvements are aimed at reducing cell-level failure risks at scale — UGREEN currently ships to 180+ countries with a reported 300 million users worldwide.
