Waze has announced several new features aimed at making navigation smarter, safer and more personalized. It includes a new Motorcycle Mode and additional Gemini AI-powered tools.

One of the biggest additions is Motorcycle Mode. It provides routes better suited for two-wheelers by considering shortcuts, road restrictions and hazards such as potholes, speed bumps, narrow bridges and raised crosswalks. The feature is now available in several countries including the Philippines on both Android and iOS.
Waze is also introducing Personalized Navigation which recommends routes based on a user’s driving habits and preferences such as favoring highways over local roads.

For users who prefer fewer interruptions, the new Less Chatty Mode reduces the number of voice prompts while still providing important navigation alerts.
The app is also expanding its Gemini-powered Conversational Reporting feature. It lets users report road closures and map updates using natural language.
Additionally, beta users can now use Gemini to search for destinations conversationally such as nearby coffee shops, parking spaces or gas stations with the lowest prices.
