Google Chrome adds AI Mode upgrades

Listen to article

Google Chrome has announced new upgrades to its AI Mode.

With the update, clicking a link in AI Mode now opens the webpage side-by-side with search results. It lets users read content, compare information and ask follow-up questions without losing context or jumping between tabs.

Users can also explore product pages while asking questions in real time or dive deeper into topics.

Google is also adding the ability to search across open tabs. Through a new ‘plus’ menu, users can include multiple tabs, images or files like PDFs into a single query. Additional tools like Canvas and image generation are also accessible within AI Mode.

It’s rolling out first in the U.S. There will be more countries getting access to this feature soon.
