X (formerly, Twitter) has rolled out a rebuilt version of its Android app after nearly a year of development.

The rebuild focuses on core performance and reliability, bringing faster loading times, smoother scrolling, improved notifications, and better overall app stability.
Nikita Bier, Head of Product at X, announced that the company rebuilt the app from scratch, calling it “one of the largest engineering efforts in the company’s history.”
Bier also noted some improvements remain in progress, including better performance on older Android devices and support for hosting Spaces on Android.
X has made the rebuilt Android app available globally through the Google Play Store. Existing users can update the app now to access the new version.
