The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen has been launched, two years after the first model was introduced. The refreshed device has notable performance upgrades, a modern OS, and supports newer media formats.

One of its biggest changes is its switch to a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor. This is paired with a Mali-G310 V2 CPU.
Xiaomi claims that this brings an 80 percent boost in CPU performance and 150 percent in graphics compared to its predecessor. However, it still has the same storage configuration with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen now supports HDR10+, joining Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and AV1 decoding. This makes for a more immersive home entertainment experience.
This model drops Android TV in favor of Google TV, offering a more polished interface and better content recommendations. Google Cast is also still available for wireless streaming.
For connectivity, it now supports Wi-Fi 6 for faster and more stable streaming, though is still has Bluetooth 5.2. It’s worth noting that the device still charges via microUSB.
The remote remains mostly unchanged, still powered by Bluetooth with voice command functionality. The shortcut buttons include the platforms Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and Xiaomi TV+.
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen is available via AliExpress for PHP 2,553.07 with a 46% discount. Details on its official launch and local availability have yet to be announced.
