Pengumuman pada September 2014, laptop kelas netbook berbiaya rendah dari HP secara tidak resmi diperkenalkan oleh satu toko lokal.
Kedua laptop tersebut seharusnya menjadi penawaran berbiaya rendah dengan konfigurasi perangkat keras yang biasanya terlihat pada netbook.
HP Stream 11/13 ditenagai oleh Intel Celeron N2480 yang cukup baru, dirilis sekitar kuartal ketiga 2014.

Model HP Stream 11,6 inci harganya $199,99 sementara model HP Stream 13,3 inci dipatok $229,99 sebelum pajak dan bea. Namun, harga eceran yang ditetapkan oleh toko PC lokal Villman adalah Php13,980 dan Php15,984, masing‑masing (perbedaan besar tersebut mungkin disebabkan oleh pajak bea masuk).
The huge discrepancy is probably due to the fact that villman gets the laptop at full retail price then must take the thing through customs and then add more money for them to make a profit off it. Still since they are continuing to offer these “informax economy” style prices there must be demand.
