Intel secara resmi memperkenalkan prosesor Atom baru mereka untuk Perangkat Internet Seluler (MID) -- yaitu Atom Z515 yang berjalan pada 1.2GHz dan Atom Z550 yang memiliki rating 2.0GHz.

Meskipun seri Atom Z5xx lebih ditargetkan untuk MIDs, tidak akan jarang melihatnya digunakan untuk netbook seperti pada kasus Sony Vaio P.

Atom Z515 juga sangat mungkin disertakan dalam smartphone masa depan (berjalan secepat platform SnapDragon yang terdapat pada TG01 milik Toshiba).
