Samsung Galaxy S3 & S4 to get Android 4.3 next month

Listen to article

This is great news. All Android devices lag in time. The reason why the Android 4.3 update matters is because of the “TRIM” support that frees up memory and decreases IO lag (sort of fragmentation) that happens in devices with NAND flash memory. They even said the Galaxy S3 would get the 4.2 update. Guess what? I’m still running 4.1.

Think Sammie decided to skip deployment of 4.2 in their devices opting to go directly to 4.3. Not sure though about their logic for doing this.

di siguro ganun kalaki yung impact ng 4.1 to 4.2 kaya rekta 4.3 na agad :)

Good luck if it ever comes on time. I have given up on Sammy for my android smartphones and tablets. I used to get their flagship phones and tablets but always end up feeling frustrated that updates are slow to come. From now on I am sticking to Google Nexus. It is my choice.

The thing is, they’re not very prompt. When they set a specific month, it means you’ll get it about 2-3 months later.
