Samsung has already started seeding its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, nearly a month ago in select variants only. And it is now hitting the global variant of the phone specifically the SM-G900F which is the variant being sold in Europe, Latin America, and parts of Asia including the Philippines.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings several new features including Google Now on Tap, a feature that improves Google Now’s context awareness. Doze, a feature that boosts battery life by killing background apps while in idle mode. Samsung also add several features to its user interface department including a revamped version of TouchWiz that now offers a cleaner look with more rounded icons.
Given that the roll-out is being pushed out in phases and for those who have not yet received the OTA update can look for it in the settings. Head into the Settings – About Device – Software Update menu to see if the update is available for your device.
