Spotify in ChatGPT has been announced. Spotify’s integration into the platform allows Free and Premium users to get personalized music and podcast recommendations from ChatGPT conversations.
Simply start a conversation in ChatGPT and mention Spotify in your prompt. The first time you do this, you’ll receive a prompt to connect your Spotify account.
Once linked, you can ask for songs, artists, albums, playlists, or podcast episodes. ChatGPT will then bring up the Spotify app in your chat, using relevant context to cater to your query.
Users may also ask for recommendations based on a mood, theme, or topic. Spotify will then display personalized picks within the flow of your conversation.
Tapping a track will open the Spotify app, allowing you to listen and watch directly after talking to ChatGPT. As per their official article, Spotify says the integration is opt-in, so users can connect or disconnect at any time.
In addition, the company says that no content will be shared with OpenAI for training purposes. Spotify in ChatGPT is now available in English across 145 countries for ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro accounts.
