According to a report from PCWorld, the move was confirmed by an Intel spokesman who said that it would still continue to support existing NUCs already out in the market right now.

As per the report, Intel has decided to cease all direct investments in NUC Business. However, the spokesman also said that the remainder of Intel’s Client Computing Group (CCG) or Network and Edge Computing (NEX) businesses will not at all be impacted by the NUC shutdown.

Intel’s NUC line of mini PCs served as high-performance machines with “ecologically friendly form factor[s],” according to Intel.

The NUC line was first introduced way back in 2012.
