6 reasons why DITO’s 25GB prepaid data is for you

DITO launched in the Philippines in March starting in Mindanao, then rolled out to NCR and other provinces shortly. And as of August 2021, the telco already has over 2 million subscribers. One of the reasons people are flocking towards DITO is its competitive data packages like the 25GB data promo. But there are other reasons why you should give it a try.

1. It’s easy to avail

Back in the day, if you want to subscribe to a promo, you’ll either need to send an SMS using a keyword or slowly browse through your SIM card’s settings. Nowadays, telcos are implementing new features to make it easier for the subscriber to purchase and discover promos.

DITO skips the older methods and gives you access to the promos from the DITO app or website via https://my.dito.ph. To purchase the promo, you can use your existing load or just straight up pay using a credit or debit card, or use platforms like GCash, GrabPay, and WeChat Pay.

One of the best things about DITO’s 25GB prepaid data promo is that its open-data access. Meaning, you can use it for whatever you need the data for, whether it’s for gaming, streaming movies and music, for work-from-home needs, online schooling, social media browsing, or for downloading files. You don’t have to worry about allocations for certain apps, which gives you more freedom and flexibility.

3. Unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls & texts

This is one of the benefits that you will truly appreciate especially if your close contacts are also DITO subscribers. When you subscribe to DITO’s 25GB data promo, you’ll instantly get unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls and texts. 6. VoLTE and ViLTE support

DITO’s network takes advantage of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Video over LTE (ViLTE). VoLTE uses the LTE network for making voice calls with better quality, while ViLTE is an extension that allows you to switch your voice calls to video calls without having to use video calling apps.

ViLTE calls are charged the same as regular DITO-to-DITO calls at PHP 6.50 / minute. If you have a promo subscription, it will be charged to your unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls. If not, standard rates will apply.

Do note that this feature only works on devices that support VoLTE and ViLTE. If you’re already using a supported device and using a DITO SIM, you can start enjoying better voice and video call quality.

If the 25GB promo is not within the budget, DITO is also offering a new 10GB for PHP 99 valid for 30 days promo. Here’s what’s included:

• 10GB Data for 30 days upon activation of the SIM card
• Unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls for 30 days upon activation of the SIM Card
• Unlimited DITO-to-DITO SMS for 30 days upon activation of the SIM Card
• 300 minutes of calls to other mobile networks
• Unlimited texts to all mobile networks

Here’s how to avail the 10GB Data promo:

1) If you already have a valid and working DITO prepaid SIM card installed in one DITO compatible phone, log in to the DITO App or MyDITO web then select the 10GB Data promo.
2) If you don’t have DITO SIM yet, you can go to DITO’s official Shopee and Lazada pages and purchase the DITO SIM Bundle for PHP 139 (PHP 99 promo + PHP 40 SIM).

Once purchased, just insert the DITO SIM in your DITO compatible device and the 10GB promo will be automatically enabled after activation of the SIM card. To activate, just turn on mobile data or attempt to call or send an SMS. You will then receive confirmation via SMS for the activation and the promo.

The DITO 10GB promo is extended until September 30, 2021.
