BlackBerry Bold 9700は、2008年に登場したRIMのBlackBerry Bold 9000のリフレッシュ版といったところですが、いくつかの点では問題のあるトラックボールナビゲーションを新しいタッチ式光学トラッキングパッドに置き換えることに注力しているようです。

オリジナルのBB Bold 9000と比較すると、全体の寸法が縮小されたため、画面はわずかに小さくなっています（2.6インチ対2.44インチ）。ただし、解像度は480x320ピクセルから480x360ピクセルに向上しており、より鮮明なディスプレイを示唆しています。RIMはこれを若干小型かつ軽量化しましたが、スリムさは変わりません。

通話時間と待機時間も若干改善されています。内部ストレージは256MBから1GBに減少しましたが、microSDカードにより最大16GBまで拡張可能です。CPUも512MHzから624MHzへアップグレードされ、カメラも2MPから3.15MPへと向上しています。

この端末の性能については、1〜2週間後に明らかになるでしょう。できれば旧モデルも入手して、実際に比較検証できれば幸いです。

Every month BlackBerry is taking higher positions… Soon it will be a competitor for Apple iPhone 3G and Google Android.
And, people really like their BB, cause quality is very high. Only full QWERTY keyboard is unusual at the first 2-3 weeks. All the rest is fine and easy.

i had durve 8520 before i had this.

this is so far the best blackberry, ever.

though surfing is tad easier in iphone’s safari pa rin.

Black Berry phones are always wickedly cool :) I wonder though how many people actually know that RIM stands for Research in Motion hehehe :) When I first heard of it I though a dance troupe hahah :)
