Saw this interesting chart during one of the product launches of Sony Philippines some time last month. It shows the trend of PC screen sizes preferred by customers based on their purchasing behavior.

It shows that the 14-inch notebooks are the most popular (has been for the last 8 years) but that share is slowly thinning. The 15-inch and and the 12-inchers also used to be popular too but the chart shows they’re slowing down.
What’s getting some traction is the 11-inch models where they used to be non-existent before 2009 but is already taking around 10% share from 2011. This could be due to the popularity of the Macbook Air and the ultrabooks/ultraportables.
Back in 2010, we also ran an informal survey on our readers about their preferred screen size for laptops. You can go and check out the responses here.

Most of the pinoys kasi they just use laptops and desktop computers for word processing and mainly internet. Pero kung ikaw yung taong gumgawa ng spreadsheets nag eedit ng hd videos and pitures and other hd content, hindi mu puwede gamitin ang netbook. it will be so sluggish to use that kasi atom processor lang. !
