ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482: Maximum Productivity

There are plenty of laptops in the market designed for productivity. They come with nice screens, powerful CPUs, and sleek designs. The problem with these laptops, though, is that most of them have small screens, making it difficult to handle multiple windows, which in turn hampers your multi-tasking capabilities. That’s why laptops like the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 stand out. While it’s a relatively small laptop with a 14-inch main screen, it has a secondary 12.65-inch ScreenPad Plus for your multi-tasking needs. What else does it have to offer? Find out below.

14-inch 100%sRGB, Pantone-Validated Touch Screen

One of the things that creative professionals need for work is a laptop with a sharp, color-accurate screen with high color fidelity. The ZenBook 14 Duo UX482 satisfies that with its 14-inch Full HD IPS screen with 400 nits of brightness, supports 100% sRGB, and Pantone-Validated. Whether you’re editing photos or videos or designing using the Pantone Matching System (PMS) Colors, you can expect to get the color you expect.

That’s not all. The ZenBook Duo 14 UX482’s screen also has touch support. Use the stylus included in the package, and you can channel your creativity straight to the laptop, which is great for graphics artists or anyone who needs to jot down notes or digitally sign documents. And if you’re worried about hurting your eyes after long hours of creative sessions, the screen is also TUV Rheinland-certified for low blue-light emissions.

Now, let’s talk about the ZenBook Duo 14 UX482’s main feature, the ScreenPad Plus. If this feature is familiar, that is because it was already implemented in the previous-generation ZenBook Duo. This time, though, ASUS made improvements and now automatically tilts up to 7-degrees when you open the laptop. This reduces glare and reflections and improves readability. It still has a touchscreen, so you can also use the stylus.

ScreenXpert 2

The ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482’s ScreenPad Plus does not just work like a typical extended monitor. Thanks to the ScreenXpert 2 software adds extra functions to give you more control over your workspace for better multitasking:

App Switcher – Drag an app onto the App Switcher icon to launch the app on ScreenPad Plus. You can choose which part of the screen you want the app to move to.

Window Flick – To move apps between the two screens, flick the top of an app to send it instantly to the other screen.

ViewMax – Maximize your viewing experience by dragging an app onto the ViewMax icon to view it on the main display and ScreenPad Plus.

Touchpad Mode – A three-finger tap temporarily turns ScreenPad Plus into a large full-width touchpad. You can turn this feature on or off in Settings.

Task Group – Customize app groups and use the Task Group icon to open multiple apps with one tap.

App Navigator – Tap the App Navigator icon to view all open apps on the main screen and ScreenPad Plus.

Link to MyASUS – Link to MyASUS in ScreenPad Plus gives you easy access to your phone so that you can make or receive calls seamlessly.

Control Panel – ASUS Control Panel gives you precise and intuitive creative controls for compatible apps on the main screen such as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom Classic.

Given the features mentioned above, photo editors can put their tools and source files on the ScreenPad Plus then edit on the main screen. On the other hand, video editors can use the ScreenPad Plus to house the video timeline and other tools. Business users can also use it to manage multiple windows to view their presentations, video conference software, and other programs at the same time.

Next-gen ergonomics with Duo Stand

It’s not just the ScreenPad Plus that has the ability to tilt. The ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 is equipped with an ErgoLift hinge that tilts the laptop’s keyboard for better ergonomics and cooling. But to take it a step further, the laptop is bundled with a Duo Stand for a better typing experience and improved viewing and writing angle on the ScreenPad Plus. You’ll also get a better audio experience from the Harman Kardon-tuned speakers, which is great when it’s time to unwind and watch your favorite movie or TV series.

11th-gen Intel Core CPU with GeForce MX450 graphics

Powering the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 is powered by up to Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 with Intel Iris Xe Graphics, up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 1TB SSD, and a 70WHrs battery.

That kind of configuration allows the laptop to handle a wide range of productivity tasks, including photo and video editing, business applications, as well as entertainment.

As for the battery, the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 is equipped with a 70WHrs battery, capable of providing the user with up to 17 hours of battery life.

High-end connectivity

Since the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 is designed for productivity, it comes with plenty of high-end connectivity features, which includes a pair of the latest Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports that support Power Delivery and DisplayPort, WiFi 6 (802.11ax) enhanced with ASUS WIFi Master Premium, microSD card reader, audio jack, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 1.4, and Infrared Camera with Windows Hello for a more secure and convenient biometric security.

Given the features mentioned above, the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 proves itself a great laptop for productivity. It doesn’t just cater to a business user but other creatives like photographers and videographers. If you’re that type of user who’s looking for a compact laptop but with big multi-tasking capabilities, you should give this laptop some serious consideration.
