Alcatel outs new POP smartphone and tablet with 64-bit CPUs

Along with the new OneTouch Hero smartphones and tablets announced last week during the IFA, Alcatel has also announced two new entry-level POP devices powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core CPUs – the POP 2 smartphone, and the POP 8S tablet.

The Alcatel OneTouch POP 2 features the latest 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410. It will have screen sizes ranging from 4-inches to 5.5-inches, LTE connection, and a wide range of colors.

The POP 8S tablet, on the other hand, is an entry-level consumer tablet with an 8-inch display, 5-megapixel rear camera, 3-megapixel front-facing camera, and support for LTE. It is 7.9mm thin and weighs only 309 grams.

Exact pricing and international availability of these devices are yet to be announced.
