A number of users of the new iPhone 7 are reporting to have been experiencing a strange whining sound on their devices while performing some tasks.

One of the first reports came from a Stephen Hackett who said that the whining sound came from the back of his iPhone 7. He added that the sound was audible enough to be heard with the phone sitting on the desk while it was syncing with iCloud.

Hackett is not alone as other users also experienced the same problem while doing certain activities. GSMArena reports that the sound is likely to be a coil whine that results from certain components to vibrate.

According to Hackett, Apple heard this problem and is willing to replace the iPhone 7 with a brand new unit for those who are experiencing the same problems.

I checked out the video and all I hear is static, what sounds like a bird chirping and the sound of paper being shuffled around.
