ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie vs OPPO F3

ASUS has added another smartphone to their arsenal. The ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie and its other variant, ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, has been recently released. We will now compare this selfie smartphone to another brand which offers a similar feature.

The ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie has a 5.5” HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution, Snapdragon 430 chipset, a 64GB internal storage, 4GB RAM, a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, a whopping 20MP + 8MP dual front camera, and a 3000mAh battery to power up the smartphone.

The OPPO F3 is one of the most advertised smartphones of the OPPO company and is dubbed as the “Selfie Expert”. It has a 5.5” IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, MediaTek MT6750 chipset, 64GB internal, 4GB RAM, 13MP Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF) rear camera, a 16MP + 8MP dual front camera, and a 3200mAh battery to power up the smartphone.

In terms of overall performance of the smartphone, the OPPO F3 has a better CPU and GPU performance than the Zenfone 4 Selfie based on benchmarks. For the battery, we could not say at the moment which has a better lifespan although the OPPO F3 has a slightly larger capacity. OS-wise, the ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie is running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box which comes with better battery optimizations compared to the Android 6.0 on the F3. Also worth noting is the HD screen of the Zenfone 4 Selfie which is lower than the F3’s Full HD. It can be a downer for some but it’s good for the battery life.

For the cameras, ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie has a higher megapixel count in both the front and rear. As for the smartphone’s photo quality, we will have to wait and see from our review of the smartphone if it is good enough. As for the OPPO F3 which has a tag of being a “Selfie Expert”, here is our review.

Lastly, the price, the ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie is priced at Php13,995USD 238INR 20,217EUR 227CNY 1,737, while the OPPO F3 is currently at Php15,990USD 272INR 23,099EUR 260CNY 1,984. Making the former the more affordable device.
