Cherry Mobile has officially launched today the successor to last year’s ultra affordable Flare in the form of the quad-core-packing Jellybean-powered Flare 2.0.

The CM Flare 2.0 sports a 4-inch WVGA display, a 5 megapixel camera, VGA front-facing, and 4GB of internal storage with microSD card support. Powering the device is a Qualcomm quad-core CPU, 512MB RAM and a 1,550mAh battery.

hahaha use it muna. saka kung passive user ka lang dead end kn talaga sa kung ano lang yung usual na nagagawa ng phone. subukan nyo mag root at maglagay ng apps/gamed kahit pa 512mb lang ram nyan, baka sabihin nyo “ASTIG”. ang dami ko naka install na games. lahat nasa SD card na class 10. iisipin mo mamahalin cp ko pero “hindi”. alamin nyo mga tweaks muna. mga haters na bobo hahahaha

mga dudezzz! really?. maganda talaga tong flare kapag marunong kang gumamit ng ANDROID ng cellphone. I mean hindi kasi automatic namamatay ang mga apps kpg na-iclose mo na, so makakaexperience ka talaga ng pagbabagal at pagkaubos ng battery. best solution, i-root mo tapos install ng auto task killer. boom!!!!! BOBO lang ninyo.

with heavy use (continuous wifi, gaming, etc.), madali siyang malowbatt (from experience, mga 3-4 hrs lang ang kaya) pero kung minimal to moderate browsing and gaming good for one day to one and a half ang battery :)

Mga haters!! My flare 1.0 is almost 9 months old na and up to now wala pa ri g flaws ang unit ko! Puro koyo complains nga hinayupak! Kung ayaw nyo sa brand a sa unit na to, better shut up, mukha kayong desperadong putik!!

Ayos yan. You guys never fail to amuse me, mga nagfefeeling techy and all that. why would someone compare a local brand of CM to an international brand “SAMSUNG” LOL. CM gives the opportunity to people who can’t afford samsung/apple. kaya nga MURA LANG na may tamang specs lang. buti nga 4k lang na quad core eh. expect mo, Local yan. Ndi ko sinasabing Mahina ang LOCAL Brand. pero. DUH. seryoso, samsung vs CM? :)) Isip isip din pag may time, kasa ka ng kasa ng bibig mo. mag isip isip din. :))

Yung mga nagrereklamo jan na 1gb ram dapat wait niyo nalang CM flare 3.0 baka 1gb na ram nun..hehe..

Bili mna kayo CM Flare 2.0 i test niyo bago kayo mag-reklamo..:)

na try ko na to CM Flare 2.0 kakabili lang ng uncle ko – ayos naman mabilis kasi wala pang apps hehe..

mabilis lang cherry mobile flare kapag wala masyadong naka install na applications, pag may mga themes na and games, SOBRANG BAGAL!!!! kahit text messaging sobrang hirap, hindi maganda response ng touch screen.. makikinig ka ng music? sobrang baba at hina ng quality. calls? hindi malinaw.. sa isang salita, BULOK.. sayang lang pera ko..

Excuse me po, i had my flare for more than a month na and installed several apps. So far maganda naman mag function and malinaw ang camera, mga apps and themes(go sms, launcher, keyboard). Nasa pagamit lang yan.

the price for the unit is good, Cherry Mobile is giving the masses the opportunity to buy cheap phones but then better read Tech news with the effect of only having 512mb ram in combination of a Jellybean Android OS.

What can i say is its useless, JB is optimized for devices having 1gb ram, the fact that when you browse the system settings almost 50mb has already been consumed, if multiple apps are running all at the same time, then the user will already experience lag particularly when playing “hard core” games like Dead Trigger and the new Asphalt 8 or even using different launchers aside from the stock launcher, using multiple camera apps and installing widgets.

~anyway if users are only “casual” then this phone is good, but not the best out there….

~magaling gumawa ng marketing strategy ang Cherry Mobile dahil marami parin ang bibili nito kahit pa maraming nagrereklamo sa kanilang bad after sales service…. dahil sa maganda sa tunog na “QUAD CORE”

~lets see what this phone can do, kasi when i last browsed the FB Fanpage, meron na kagad nagrereklamo….

Try mo I search ung ibang brand name model like Samsung or Nokia or HTC o Erickson punta ka sa comment mkikita mo rin dun n marami ring complain or negative feedback kgya ng sa cm.just like u may nasasabi cla na akala mo may perfect n brand .ndi masatisfied.so nobody’s perfect.

I don’t have any qualms with this one, for 4k it’s quite a good deal na eh, I mean who would even buy this phone and play hardcore games in it like the other posters say? Pag nakuha ko na baon ko sa monday, I’ll buy this one if available na. Nakakatawa lang talaga yung ibang nagcocomment na panay bash ang pinagsasabi sa phone na ganto, XD I mean, why are you guys even here? lol.

I have thunder and its only dual core but for me its fast enough to satisfies myself and its a year and a half still running smoothly good condition and I have enjoy browsing and playing games.for only 5k I can say Tama ang pagbili ko dhil nasatisfies ako sa performance and it last means durability.so I can say also flare 2 with quad core is one of d best fr cm.Nokia? Laos n yan.unless mag android n rin cla.

wow, nakakahiya mga tao d2. pinag ppyestahan pa ang specs nito. Tingin2x din sa presyo oh. The higher the specs, the more expensive the smartphone. ganun un mga ugok. gamitin nyo din utak nyo minsan, d yan stainless.

anyways, almost the same specs din dito ung Nokia Lumia 520 (WP8 OS) pero x2 presyo ng L520 kumpara dito sa Flare 2.0.

Pang entice talaga yung QUAD-CORE sa ganitong price point. Pero ang tanong, paano naman ang performance?

Baka naman talunin pa ito ng dual core+1g ram. So of anyone can give us a clear picture, better. At kung ilalampaso lang ito ng mga dual cores with 1gb ram at the same price point (kung meron man) THEN WE CAN SAFELY SAY that this PHONE IS SIMPLY POINTLESS AND HOAX.

compared sa known brands mas basura pa nga specs nila compared rito, same os, same ram, no flash, single core.. pero mas mura.. on the practical POV sulit to… but to expect more on an entry level device, that’s freakin nonesense whatever you all it… flare 1.0 nagpalaos sa SGY, and other OEM phones on it’s price range, dont compare it to high device perse

para kang bumili ng netbook tapos magrereklamo bakit hindi makapaglaro ng 3D intensive games.

Hindi naman advertised na pang gaming yan.

Tama lang yang 512MB na RAM. Bukod sa games, anong app pa ba malakas sa resources?

Kung gusto niyo maglaro bumili kayo ng mas maganda dyan.

A dual core cpu + 1 gig RAM would’ve been ideal, pero since marketing BS ang pina-iral, they opted to bump the cpu without increasing the RAM, which is pretty pointless

Cherry mobile is for the Masses market and not the high-end users.

Wala ata ibang phone na mas mataas ang specs sa price point na 3,999 pesos na pwede icompare dito.

We should thank cherrymobile for bringing decent mobile hardware at an affordable price.

It’s a crap specs if your a hardcore gamer. But a good back up phone for calls, text and music. The only difference I see from Flare 1.0 is the quadcore processor and the 3 point touch. Is there anything else?
