Dreame launching new EV and a smartphone brand

Listen to article

Dreame Technology, the Xiaomi-backed brand, has confirmed plans to expand into electric vehicles (EVs) and smartphones via a Weibo post. For reference, the company has established itself in the smart home appliance market with their robot vacuums.

Their entry into the EV market is headlined by a Bugatti-inspired supercar. Along with their EV ambitions, the company also posted a teaser that shows a device called the Dreame Space.

This is reported to be a smartphone that leverages advanced photography functions. As the name suggests, the Dreame Space’s main highlight will be astrophotography capabilities.

However, Dreame has yet to provide a launch timeline for either the EV or the Dreame Space. We’ll update readers should more details arrive in the coming months for this developing story.

If there’s any interested readers, we’ve been covering Dreame’s offerings as far back as 2022. So far, we’ve gotten to review the Dreame H12, Dreame H14, and Dreame D9 Max Gen 2.
