The Lava Play Ultra 5G has been announced as the brand’s first gaming-focused smartphone.

It has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, it’s powered by a Dimensity 7300 with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD up to 1TB.
At the back, there’s a 64MP main camera paired with a 5MP macro. There’s also a 13MP selfie shooter and an in-display fingerprint sensor at the front.
The device runs on stock Android 15, clean from any ads or bloatware. In addition, Lava says it’s good for two (2) years of OS updates and three (3) years of security patches.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Other features include a dedicated game booster, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP64 rating.
The Lava Play Ultra 5G comes in Arctic Frost and Arctic Slate color options. It’s priced at INR 14,999 (~PHP 9.8K) with 6GB/128. It’s also available for INR 16,499 (~PHP 10.8K) with 8GB/128GB.
It’s set to be available in India on August 25, 2025. Availability in other regions have yet to be announced, but we’ll update readers.
