HMD Crest , Crest Max now official

HMD has launched its new affordable smartphones in India: the HMD Crest and Crest Max. These are the first phones in India to carry the HMD brand, with the Crest being the first model manufactured locally in India. Both device will be available on Amazon India during the Great Freedom Sale next month.

HMD The Crest is priced at Rs 14,500 (around PHP 9,800), and the HMD Crest Max at Rs 16,500 (around PHP 11,200). During the sale, the Crest will drop to Rs 13,000 (around PHP 8,800) and the Crest Max to Rs 15,000 (around PHP 10,200).

For the HMD Crest it packs a Unisoc T760 chipset, 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage and features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla equivalent glass. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, plus a 50MP front camera. While Its 5,000 mAh battery supports 33W fast charging and is rated for 800 cycles. It comes in multiple color, Midnight Blue, Royal Pink, and Lush Lilac.

On the other hand HMD Crest Max offers a higher 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. While It also has a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla equivalent glass. The camera array is more advanced, featuring a 64MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor, along with the same 50MP front camera. It also sports a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging, rated for 800 cycles. Available colors are Deep Purple, Royal Pink, and Aqua Green.

Both phones support 5G, run on Android 14, and include a 3.5mm audio jack, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0. They will receive 2 years of security patches. A highlight is Repairability 1.0, allowing easy replacement of components like the back panel, battery, display, and charging port.
