Looking at the displays, we’ll see that the Honor 8X has the advantage in terms of size, aspect ratio, and horizontal resolution. Whereas the Note 6 Pro has a higher pixel density and a Gorilla Glass protection. In terms of viewing experience, the former is definitely the right pick but in terms of protection, the latter is more durable.
The Kirin 710 and Snapdragon 636 processors have clashed before with our comparison of the Huawei Nova 3i and ASUS ZenFone 5 (2018) with the former winning in terms of overall performance. This means that the Honor 8X will have the upper-hand in terms of a faster CPU performance and gaming experience.
We’ve yet to test the full camera capabilities of both smartphones so stay tuned for that. On paper, however, we can say that the Honor 8X has a higher main rear camera resolution with a slightly wider aperture while the Note 6 Pro has a higher front camera resolution and a secondary lens.
Both devices have large battery capacities but the Note 6 Pro’s is slightly higher. We’re yet to test the battery life of both devices but on paper, the Redmi Note 6 Pro looks better.
The Honor 8X is priced at Php12,990 for the 4GB + 128GB variant while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is priced at PHP 10,999 for the 3GB + 32GB model and PHP 12,990 for the 4GB + 64GB one.
