HTC just announced another Android smartphone, the HTC Rhyme, that looks like an update to the Desire S. If you look at the specs real closely, you’d notice there’s pretty much little difference between the Rhyme and the Desire S.
Well maybe, except for that lavender color.

HTC Rhyme specs:
3.7″ SLCD display @ 480×800 pixels
1GHz Scorpion processor
Adreno 205 GPU
Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset
4GB internal storage
768MB RAM
up to 32GB via microSD card (8GB included)
HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi hotspot
5MP autofocus camera w/ LED flash
720p video recording
VGA front-facing camera
FM Radio tuner
GPS w/ aGPS
Li-Ion 1600mAh
HTC Sense UI 3.5
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Same form factor and design (just a millimeter thinner than the Desire S), same CPU, same display, a little more internal storage and battery. That HTC Sens UI 3.5 looks really cool though.

The additional accessories, cradle and some add-ons give the HTC Rhyme a little bit more charm. We’re not sure if it will eventually end up in the Philippines but if ever it should, we’re expecting before end of December.
Nothing really special here if you already own an HTC Desire S so let’s just move along.
