Huawei Developer Conference 2019: What to expect?

Huawei is kicking off their Huawei Developer Conference 2019 here at Songshan Lake in Dongguan, China. And the Chinese tech giant is expected to announce their latest technologies, product developments, and innovations. Read on to find out what we can expect from HDC 2019.

Keynotes

In its first day, Huawei will be holding keynotes from its top executives. Richard Yu, Executive Director and CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group will be discussing All-scenario Intelligence, which could revolve around the company’s AI portfolio and its applications.

Dr. Wang Chenglu, Huawei President of Software Engineering, Huawei Consumer Business Group, will launch EMUI 10.0. EMUI 10 is Huawei’s latest iteration of their mobile OS which is reported to be based on Android Q, which is also expected to ship with the upcoming Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro smartphones.

Zhang Ping’an, President of Huawei Consumer Cloud Service, will talk about Huawei’s Mobile Services and its open capabilities. The Huawei Mobile Services is found in Huawei smartphones such as the Huawei ID, Browser, AppGallery, Wallet, Video, Music, and Themes.

Shao Yang, Chief Strategy Officer, Huawei Consumer Business Group, will talk about IoT solutions including Huawei HiLink, a smart home interconnection platform developed by Huawei that offers interconnection and interworking solutions between smart devices; and Huawei LiteOS, is a lightweight, IoT-oriented software platform.

Ai Wei, Fellow, Chipsets and Hardware Technology Strategy, Huawei, will discuss its Kirin solutions that are powering the company’s smartphones.

Exhibitions

Huawei will also hold interactive exhibitions of its products and solutions, including Smart home, Wearables, Mobile office, and Audiovisual entertainment. The company will also demonstrate its capabilities and tools like HiAI, UI design, AR/VR Engine, as well as payment solutions like Huawei Pay and Huawei Wallet.

Codelabs

Codelabs provides official technical support, tutorials, and hands-on coding experience for developers. Huawei will demonstrate its technologies, and share ideas and insights with Huawei’s technical experts as well as developers from all over the world. Codelabs will give us a deeper look at Huawei’s services like HiAI, ModelArts, Fast Apps, AR Engine, and Smart Home.
