Huawei outs selfie-centric nova 2 and nova 2 Plus

Huawei has officially unveiled the successors to last year’s nova and nova Plus smartphones with a renewed focus on youth with its vibrant colors and selfie features.

The nova 2 and nova 2 Plus are very similar in its hardware, as they share the company’s own mid-range HiSilicon Kirin 659 chip and a 20-megapixel front camera with selfie-friendly features such as a color temperature light flash, a 3D stereo fusion algorithm, and support for Beauty 4.0, save for a few physicalities such as display, internal storage,and battery life.

Both the Huawei nova 2 and nova 2 Plus will be available in China starting June 16th in five different colors — Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Streamer Gold, Obsidian Black, and Rose Gold — sporting CNY2,500 (roughly Php18,200 before taxes) and CNY2,900 (around Php21,100 before other fees) price tags, respectively.
