It looks like Huawei did not leave anything to the imagination with the series of leaks and promotional teasers that were put out in the last couple of weeks leading to the announcement in MWC.
First, the specs — the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core chip which we’ve already seen in the Mate 9. This is paired with a base memory of 4GB but there could be a 6GB variant and possibly an 8GB RAM option for a premium variant (perhaps another Porsche Design?).
While the Huawei P10 will have that same familiar look and design as the P9, they display panel will have a dual-curved display already at 5.2-inches and 5.5-inches for the P10 Plus. We’ve seen that as well in the Huawei Mate 9 Pro so it’s not a surprise. Both will be in quad HD IPS LCD.
The dual-rear camera is present, again, powered by a second-generation Leica optics which was used in the Mate 9. The P10 Plus will sport a ring-flash surrounding the laser autofocus sensor. There will also be an Iris scanner at the front.
The rest should be pretty standard — 32GB, 64Gb and 128GB internal storage, dual-SIM support, 8MP front-facing camera, Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0.
We will be in Barcelona for MWC 2017 to cover the launch of the Huawei P10 so stay tuned for that.
