Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) vs OPPO A3s (3GB) specs comparison

The Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) just arrived in the country this month and looking at its specs made me realize that there’s a smartphone from another brand with similar components. That device is the OPPO A3s so today; we’ll check them out side-by-side and see which one has the upper hand in each key smartphone aspect. Let’s start!

Here are their detailed specs:

Here are the advantages of each smartphone:

Huawei Y7 Pro (2019)

  • Slightly larger screen size
  • Wider main rear camera aperture
  • Higher front camera resolution
  • NFC

OPPO A3s

  • Dedicated microSD card slot
  • Larger battery capacity

Both smartphone displays are identical except for the slightly larger screen size of the Y7 Pro. In this aspect, either one of them is a great device for watching and streaming videos.

Performance-wise, both of them have the same chipset and RAM capacity which should provide people with smooth task executions such as web browsing, social media posting, file transferring, and even multi-tasking.

People who are into gaming but on a budget could also consider buying either one of them since it can run light-to-moderate games with decent stability and FPS.

For the camera aspect, the Y7 Pro 2019 has a wider main rear camera aperture which means that you can shoot better photos at low-light conditions. A wider aperture means that more light will reach the sensor. People who are into selfies, however, might consider going for the Y7 Pro 2019 since it has a higher front camera resolution. BUT in general, camera quality is not entirely dependent on just the number of megapixels alone, okay?

Regarding battery performance, the OPPO A3s will, in theory, last longer since the main factors affecting the battery life of a smartphone (display, chipset, OS) is practically almost the same. Because of that, the final factor that you should check is the battery capacity in which the Y7 Pro 2019 is a bit smaller.

Overall, if you are more into shooting photos, whether using the rear or front camera, then go for the Huawei Y7 Pro 2017. If you want longer battery life and isn’t satisfied with just the internal storage and wanted more storage juice, pick with the OPPO A3s (3GB). Purchasing the former may be a bit tricky since it is only available in the Philippines through Globe postpaid plans, which comes free at Plan 999 while the OPPO A3s (3GB) is priced at PHP 9,990 and can be purchased in OPPO authorized stores nationwide.

  1. I love your comparisons of the various phones.
Particularly in the 6 to 10000piso range.
BUT just as important for many people in the provences here is the reception performance in weak signal areas.for many people like me it’s one of the more important things.
