A new smartphone recently launched in the Philippines, packing a 6-inch+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, triple-rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery, the Infinix NOTE 11S. There’s another smartphone in the market, though, that shares similar specs and is also offered at a competitive price, the Tecno Camon 18P. Which one looks better on paper? Find out below.

The two are pretty much identical when it comes to the display. Both have IPS panels with Full HD+ resolutions. However, the NOTE 11S is slightly larger, but the 0.15-inch difference won’t matter that much. Same with the 8ppi advantage of the Camon 18P as it won’t be noticed in everyday use.
Both devices also feature a 120Hz screen, which is impressive given their prices. Users will definitely enjoy the smooth animations and transitions that are usually observed in more expensive devices. Kudos to Infinix and Tecno for bringing this feature to budget phones.
Both devices use the same chipset, and we’re talking about the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC with a 2.05GHz octa-core CPU and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. We can expect the same level of performance from both.
The two devices are offered in one configuration in the Philippines 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Infinix has declared that it uses UFS 2.2 and has a dedicated microSD card slot, while Tecno has not specified the storage type and if it has expandable storage. The former gets a point on this aspect.
The two devices are versatile shooters with their triple-rear cameras but with different configurations. The Infinix has a higher-resolution main camera and has a dedicated macro. So if you want the most resolution possible and like shooting macro subjects, the NOTE 11S is a good choice.
The Tecno, on the other hand, has a telephoto lens. So, if you like zooming in on a subject, the Camon 18P can provide that.
Both also have a 2MP depth-sensing camera for bokeh effects, and a 16MP shooter for selfies.
Both support dual-SIM with 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C, 3.5mm audio jack, and fingerprint scanner. The Infinix, though, has dual speakers for more immersive audio, while the Tecno has NFC for fast pairing with other NFC-equipped devices.
The two smartphones carry large batteries at 5,000mAh. That capacity is enough to satisfy heavy users. The charging rate is the same for both devices at 33W.
Which one to get?
The Infinix NOTE 11S is priced at PHP 9,990USD 170INR 14,432EUR 162CNY 1,240, while the Tecno Camon 18P is at PHP 10,990USD 187INR 15,876EUR 178CNY 1,364. Based on the advantages, the former wins, giving you more value for the price. It’s also a good option if your max budget is PHP 10K. But if you need a dedicated telephoto lens and NFC, you can still opt for the latter.
What do you guys think? Which offers more value for the price, the Infinix Note 11S or Tecno Camon 18P? Let us know in the comments below.
