Apple recently launched its iPhone 15 and 15 Pro lineup just a few days ago and since its predecessor with the iPhone 14 series, Apple has dropped the feature of having a SIM tray included among those being sold in the US.
If one checks Apple’s US site, it is seen that what’s indicated under its spec sheet is Dual eSIM support.
Upon further inspection, the US variants of the iPhone 15 series can have up to two active eSIMs as well as store eight or more eSIMs.
It also explicitly says at the bottom that it is “Not compatible with physical SIM cards”.
However, upon checking the PH site of Apple on its iPhone 15 lineup being sold here, all are listed to have support for Dual SIM.
The caveat is that it doesn’t mean that one may put two SIM cards in the iPhone 15.
As Apple has indicated this means that one may have either two active eSIMs or a nano-SIM and an eSIM together and not actually dual physical SIM cards onboard.
