Lenovo P780 has arrived, packs a 4000mAh battery

Listen to article

Lenovo PH has just announced the arrival of the IdeaPhone P780 in our country, and as you would expect from their previous P7xx offering, this new Android smartphone also packs a monstrous battery pack. 4000mAh to be exact.

With its ample power source, Lenovo claims that the P780 can last up to a day and a half of continuous voice calls on a single full charge. Talk about longevity, eh?

lenovo p780 specs

The P780 also has a pretty decent specs sheet to go along with its gargantuan battery pack. This includes a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a 5-inch IPS LCD with 720p resolution. It’s also equipped with an 8MP shooter on the back, as well as a 1.2MP on the front.

Lenovo’s new handset runs on Android 4.2 right from the get go which occupies a good portion of its modest 4GB internal storage. Luckily, the phone has a micro-SD card slot should you feel the need to expand the memory.

The Lenovo IdeaPhone P780 can be had for Php13,999. For more information, you can check out Lenovo Philippine’s Facebook page on the source link below.

Ive tried a demo phone of this model, hindi ko nga lang nahalungkat lahat nang important spec, ang pinka na try ko is the camera, coz im looking for a smartphone with a decent camera, and this one has a good camera, very good even, i got the chance to compare it with lumia 720, and both had almost the same results nag differ lang cguro konti sa brightness, this is with the rear cam, the front cam naman is mas detailed ang sa lumia, but p780 also had a good front cam din naman… and video recording was great as well, parang hd na atoh yun … and if i remember it right the usable internal mem is about 1.4 – 1.6 gb atah … and it is also usb otg ready … medyo bulky lang xa for me kasi as a girl i only have a medium size hand kaya medyo awkward kapag one hand lang ang paghawak .. with this price and spec, maganda na ang phone nato kesa mag settle for cm nah hndi sure ang quality. Thats all po!

Well ang problem ng Lenovo ay limited ang Custom Rom dahil tricky ang szb file extension ng mga Roms nila.. then medyo mabagal ang updates nila lalo na kapag napatungan ka na ng bagong labas na unit.. pero ok ang quality at durability ng lenovo that’s for sure ^_^

I’m interested with this phone but I can’t find a demo unit even in their concept stores. Anyone out there who has tried this phone already? how’s the performance? I’m keen about the screen and camera?

thanks!

in my observation among the smartphone lg, sony, samsung and other international brand manufacturer their phone branding will usually seen on the front face of the phone…in my interpretation that they are proud of their products such lenovo phones have…in contrast to local brand usually seen only on the back…

P780 = P 7,800.00 only…

maybe you should take note that lenovo is an international company who manufactures their own phones

Parang overrated ang mediatek? Is its performance that bad? If so sayang naman, kala ko may solusyon na para sa mga nangangailangan ng juiced up smartphone.

What My|Phone, CM, Starmobile etc. are selling are rebranded Chinese phones. Not exactly the Filipino products which I’m gonna be proud of, for the reason that they are not Filipino products at all.

Peace. :)

LE

you are terribly wrong, awdog. those local phone companies were not the ones manufacturing their phones. most, if not all, of their phones were rebranded phones from other manufacturers in asia. and, if i’m not mistaken, these phones were all manufactured in china.

I was using Samsung Galaxy S4, got fed up with the battery, it’s not that bad for normal uses but I use it constantly to browse, read news, watch movie, listen to music, have to charge 2-4 times a day. For me, what good is your top notch hardware if it’s ran out of juice?

SM

Very good phone. I’m still wondering though why the internal storage is still stuck at 4gb? So that would mean around 1.5-2gb is only available. I am unaware though if android apps can now be universally transferred to the micro SD card.

Sadly yeah, but I use link2SD with 64GB (yes you read that right) microSDXC formatted as FAT32. Never had any problems with memory.

AV
average_Joe · 13 years ago

Does i mean, this phone CAN support 64GB? as per Yudy? and whats with the link2SD? is that a apps? and does it matter what format of your MicroSD? it would be great if someone can tell me how? Im planing to buy this phone and yeh, love all the features… :) thanks in advance with your help..

Yes it support 64GB of Sandisk MicroSDHC, that I use personally.
Link2SD is the Android App to install most android apps INTO the memory card and not on your phone memory.
FAT32 format on your memory card is to ensure compatibility between all devices and OS.
