The LG smartphone that we wrote about earlier this week is now official and they’re calling it the LG Optimus G. So far, the initial specs mentioned were spot on.
While the handset will initially be released in Korea and comes with LTE, the international version will be in HSPA+ which will follow suit.

Qualcomm’s quad-core Krait processor is a solid performer and we will see it run on the Optimus G.
LG Optimus G specs:
4.7-inch 720p True HD 720p IPS display, 1280×768 pixels
Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core
Adreno 320 GPU
2GB RAM
32GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD
HSPA+
WiFI 802.11 b/g/n
13MP rear camera
2100mah Li-Ion battery
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
In terms of design, it will look much like the LG Optimus 4X HD but with much better specs, like a 2GB RAM and that ginormous, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro.
