Meizu MX6 announced, Helio X20 chipset in tow

Meizu has just launched its newest top-of-the-line Android smartphone with a 5.5-inch display and MediaTek Helio X2 deca-core chipset inside.

The Meizu MX6 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels or about 401ppi of pixel density. It’s got a powerful MediaTek Helio X20 chipset rocking 10-cores clustered into three. There’s 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage as well. Camera-wise, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensor is placed at its back while an 8MP selfie shooter takes pics on the front.

There’s 3060mAh battery with support for fast charging through the USB Type-C port called mCharge with a claimed rate of 25% power in just 10 minutes of charge. Of course, it’s a Dual SIM smartphone with 4G LTE on board. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with Flyme 5.2.2 OS.

Apart from the handset, Meizu also showed accessories to come with it called Loop Jacket. It’s a smart cover with a round cut out to show time and notifications ala LG’s Quick Circle case.

The Meizu MX6 is priced at just CNY 1999 or roughly above Php14,000 when converted. It will be available in China starting July 30. International availability is yet to be announced.
