So what has changed?
- Larger screen size, aspect ratio, and resolution
- Better performing CPU
- Better performing GPU
- No 6GB RAM variant
- Higher main rear camera resolution
- Higher front camera resolution
- Wider front camera aperture
- Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box
- Slightly smaller battery capacity
In terms of display, the Moto G7 Plus comes with a larger screen, LTPS LCD, and thinner bezels thanks to the new design. This makes the G7 Plus a more appealing device for watching videos or gaming.
Performance-wise, the Moto G7 Plus took it up a notch by having a Snapdragon 636 chipset as compared with the Snapdragon 630 of Moto G6 Plus. The CPU speed jump is not that far but it should be enough to be noticeable in real-world usage. The same observation goes in terms of gaming capabilities. It can run light to moderate graphics games with ease but you could see a slight increase in frames when playing graphics intensive ones.
As for the camera, the Moto G7 Plus has an increased main rear and front camera resolution. One thing to notice is that the selfie lens comes with a wider aperture giving way to better low-light performance.
The battery of the Moto G7 Plus got a slight decrease in capacity but it retains the TurboCharge technology. We haven’t tested out their performance in this aspect but I can say that it’ll be hard to determine which one has a longer lasting battery life.
Here are their initial prices:
- Moto G7 Plus – BRL 1,899 (~PHP 26,717.31)
- Moto G6 Plus – USD 299 (~PHP 15,645)
This may not be the final price but they have a significant amount difference. Overall, the Moto G7 Plus is just basically an update to the Moto G6 Plus and not really an upgrade. I do not recommend that you should get this one if you already have the G6 Plus.

I think you forgot the stereo speakers in G7. Kaso based sa speaker test I watched, di rin ganon nagbago ang quality ng sound. Ang tanong san bibili nito? (pls inform me.) Di na active ang Motorola/Lenovo sa market. I am looking forward sa phones nila because of the audio quality.
