New iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini reportedly to launch in the next few months

According to 9to5Mac 42, Apple is working on a refreshed lineup of iPads that will be coming in the next few months.

The report states the new slate of iPads will include the iPad mini 7, entry-level iPad, and two new iPad Air models.

As for the iPad mini 7, it’s reported to keep the same design as the current iPad mini 6 but with a faster chip and refreshed internals.

There’s also a report that Apple’s been testing out an updated version of the entry-level iPad with new spec upgrades as well but will also see the same design language reminiscent of the iPad Air with USB-C.

As for the iPad Air, 9to5Mac’s sources say that Apple is currently experiementing with two new versions of the iPad Air.

This could mean different models for its Wi-Fi and Cellular version or rather Apple could in fact be considering launching a larger version of the iPad Air for consumers as only the iPad Pro comes with more than one version having two different sizes.

Moreover, the new iPad Air 6 is expected to also see a chip upgrade from the iPad Air 5.

Lastly, there’s also a rumor of the next-generation iPad Pro with a new M3 chip on the way.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg also reported that Apple could be giving the Magic Keyboard for the iPad a redesign that will be more reminiscent of a laptop.

It would see an aluminum structure instead of plastic as well as feature a larger trackpad.

When it comes to release dates, they’re all said to be released with iPadOS 17 which would mean they should be launched sometime between in the next few months up to June when Apple holds WWDC 2024 for new software updates.
