Nokia 3.2 Hands-On

HMD Global recently launched several Nokia smartphones in the Philippines, including the Nokia 3.2. It runs on Android One, paired with a Snapdragon 429, 3GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery. Check our hands-on of it below.

The Nokia 3.2 has a screen measuring at 6.2 inches, with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixel resolution. There’s a sizeable round notch at the top of the display where the 5MP front camera resides, while broad bezels surround the screen. The chin bezel has the widest size as the Nokia logo is printed on it.

Over the rear, we see the 3.2’s 13MP camera, an LED flash, and the fingerprint scanner right below it. The smartphone has a plastic unibody construction, with a glossy finish to it. Due to the gloss, it does pick up a lot of fingerprints and smudges. Despite the plastic unibody, the device doesn’t feel that it’s low in quality. Instead, It feels thick and hefty in the hands. The rounded edges and smooth, glossy rear make the 3.2 comfortable to hold as well.

Located on the right are the volume and power buttons. The placement might be a little high for those with small hands. Still, they’re both clicky when used.

At the left side, we have the dual SIM tray with dedicated micro SD slot and a dedicated Google Assistant button.

Sitting on the top is the 3.5mm headphone jack and the noise-canceling microphone.

At the bottom, one can find a microphone, the micro USB port, and the speaker grille.

The Nokia 3.2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429, paired with 3GB RAM, 32GB of storage with an expandable via micro SD. It has a 4,000mAh battery capacity, face unlock and runs on stock Android 9 Pie. Priced at PHP 7,990, we’ll be taking this device out for a full spin to see if it’s worth copping. Stay tuned.
