Nokia Lumia Amber software update rolling out

Nokia has started rolling out the Lumia Amber software update for Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8.

The Nokia Lumia Amber update brings improvements, bug-fixes, and new features like the Nokia Smart Camera, Nokia Pro Camera (Lumia 920, 925), Nokia Glance Screen, Flip to silence, double-tap to unlock, Storage Check, Data Sense for data usage management, faster map updates, and improved image processing.

The rollout starts first with the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 in selected countries. As usual, exact delivery timings will vary by region, phone and operator. We checked the update availability for the Philippines and so far most are still waiting for approval.

However, Nokia expects the update to reach your Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 720, Lumia 820 or Lumia 920 by the end of September.
