The nubia Flip 2 is now official, set to begin sales this week in Japan. It’s the brand’s latest foldable that features an improved cover screen and a new MediaTek chipset.

The phone has an aluminum frame and a glass back panel. It also has a 3-inch cover screen and a 6.9-inch foldable OLED internal display. nubia has yet to unpack what apps will be supported by the cover screen.
Powering the device is a Dimensity 7300X, which is tailored for smartphones with dual display setups. Otherwise, it’s essentially the same as the Dimensity 7300.
For optics, it has a 50-megapixel main paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor at the rear. For selfies, it has a 32-megapixel camera situated in a punch hole.
The phone will run on Android 14 out of the box. It also packs a 4,300mAh battery with support for PD 3.0 charging. Other highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button and AI features.
This includes a customized assistant that works with local apps in Japan (e.g, Line). The device also uses AI to reply to messages should users prefer not to respond themselves.

The nubia Flip 2 will come in Black, Blue, and White color options. It’s currently priced at JPY 64,080 (~PHP 24,130.28). Sales are set to begin on January 23.
